245/45 R17 Tyres in the UAE

The numbers are simple to read. 245 is the tyre width in millimetres. 45 is the profile, which means the sidewall height is 45 percent of the width, or about 110 mm. R17 means a radial tyre for a 17 inch wheel. Fully inflated, a 245/45 R17 tyre stands roughly 652 mm tall.

In Dubai this size is mostly seen on executive saloons, coupes and sport trims of popular crossovers. Always check the size printed on your tyre sidewall before you order. Speed rating matters at this size, so choose a tyre rated for your car, and ask for a run flat version if your car has no spare wheel.

How much a 245/45 R17 tyre costs in the UAE comes down to the brand and the pattern. Premium tyres from Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental cost more but usually last longer, while Nexen, Kumho and Zeetex keep the price down. On GulfTyres each 245/45 R17 tyre price includes fitting and wheel balancing at a partner centre.
