255/60 R18 Tyres in the UAE

The numbers are simple to read. 255 is the tyre width in millimetres. 60 is the profile, which means the sidewall height is 60 percent of the width, or about 153 mm. R18 means a radial tyre for a 18 inch wheel. Fully inflated, a 255/60 R18 tyre stands roughly 763 mm tall.

In Dubai you will often find 255/60 R18 tyres on the Volkswagen Amarok. Vehicle makers fit different sizes across trims and model years, so always check the size printed on your tyre sidewall before you order. Check the load index as well as the size, and choose between a highway pattern for city use or an all terrain pattern if you drive on sand.

How much a 255/60 R18 tyre costs in the UAE comes down to the brand and the pattern. Premium tyres from Bridgestone, Dunlop and Michelin cost more but usually last longer, while Kumho, Giti and Linglong keep the price down. On GulfTyres each 255/60 R18 tyre price includes fitting and wheel balancing at a partner centre.
